The Beer Shop has the most competitive prices for quality craft beer in all formats – bottle, can and draught. As far as we are aware, no other craft beer retailer in Greater Manchester publishes an up-to-date price list on line. The Beer Shop Price List for bottled beers and ciders
The Beer Shop’s preferred format for packaging takeaway draught beer is bag-in-box. The latest craze is for American-style ceramic or glass containers called “growlers”. These come in sizes based on U.S. measures, the most common one is the four U.S. pint version which translates to three and one fifth of our pints (64 fl oz); this is inconvenient for both measuring and pricing. We do not recommend the use of growlers, see here for reasons why http://www.bonappetit.com/columns/the-foodist/article/why-beer-growlers-are-bad-for-your-brew.
The price of bag-in box beers used to be mainly dependent on the ABV of the beers on offer but the growth of microbreweries who qualify for duty relief and the sharp rises in hop prices, particularly the fruity and floral types, have changed all of that.
The prices below are a guide but the best indicator is the price per pint displayed on the cask board.
3 litres (5.25 pints) costs from £15:00
5 litres (8.8 pints) costs from £25.00
10 litres (17.6pints) costs from £45.00
20 litres (35.2 pints) costs from £87.50
